On Friday night they had a band and the campers came out to listen. Bob, the owner of the campground was the bongo drummer. They only keep the campground open until October. Then they go down to Florida for the winter. The campground is small, but on the Greenbrier River and the train tracks follow the river around the mountains ontbe opposite side of the river. We saw caves over on the other side and wondered if the bears may have hibernated there during the winter. We didn't see bears but deer walked through the campground and a mama turkey and her babies walked out across in front of us, too. We drove through beautiful mountains to get here.
One day we drove to Lewisburg to check it out. A pretty town with wonderful places to eat and busy, downtown shopping area.
Another day we drove to White Sulfur Springs where the famous Greenbrier Resort is and the New Orleans Saints were practicing there. The Greenbrier Sam Sneer Golf Course also hosts one of the big golf tournaments there. There wasn't much in White Sulfur Springs. A few nice restaurants and 2 very nice interior design and
Antique shops.
