I have pictures here of The Grand Hotel, our ferry ride, the main street, the shoreline, the Arch Rock, the Mackinac Bridge, and Fort Mackinac. If you notice Mackinaw has two different spellings. There were Native Americans here originally, but it was also settled by the French explorers. When referring to the city on the Lake Michigan shore it is spelled Mackinaw City.

Mackinac Island, Michigan
Good morning! We have been in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan all week with our best friends, Terri and Charles Settler and Joye and Charles Irons from Newberry, S C. We met up with them in Charleston, W V last Sunday. Most of Michigan is gorgeous! We visited Mackinaw Island one day. A beautiful resort island. The only way to access is by ferry boat. No motorized vehicles are allowed. So many bicycles! We took the horse drawn carriage tour or either walked. Here are some pictures.
