One of the first buildings built in the early 1600s in old town Gloucester. I loved walking through the old history in Gloucester.
More of old town. Maybe used as the first courthouse. There was also the old jail.
The museum -worthwhile to visit. Old Gloucester had a main street with entertaining shops to browse-artist of all kinds, displays set up and sometimes the artists are working. Also, I forgot to tell you all of the areas have antique shops done very nicely.
The entrance to our campground.
The magazine in Williamsburg.
The Governor's Palace in Williamsburg.
The old town streets of Yorktown. Up behind the beach area found on the York River. This area was great to see. Many of the 1600 old homes of famous first people before the Revolutionary War.
The York River. The bridge going across is a toll. From our campground we have to cross this area to go to many other areas we have visited.
The war memorial honoring those who lost their lives i
n the battle of Yorktown. It was given to us by the French. You know theFrench were instrumental in helping us win the Revolutionary War.
Eating at the York Oyster Company on the York River.
One of the homes to visit in Yorktown. I don't remember who built or lived in this one. The volunteers in the home told us how she is a Daughter of the American Revolution and has traced her ancestry all the way back to the first founders.
