Niagara Falls, Canada

This is looking back at the American side of Niagara Falls. You can see an island in between.  The little falls are Bridle Veil Falls. On the American side you can only see up beside them. But this is a shot from the Niagara Falls Park, Canada.
  It is beautiful!

This is us on The Hornblower. This company bought out what used to be The Maiden of the Mist-a boat that takes you on a cruise out in the river up to the falls. It goes all the way up into the Horseshoe Falls-the falls that you can view from the Canadian side.

This is Rainbow bridge-one of the bridges between New York and Canada.  We came over on the Peace bridge and passed through customs. It only costs us $6.00. They are very concerned that you do not bring any weapons over into Canada and they ask you several times.  We left ours in South Carolina.

These are our friends from Delaware. We met them in Hudson, Florida last year when we were putting new windows in our coach. Carol and Charles Towel. We had a wonderful time camping with them at the KOA in Niagara Falls, Canada in September, 2016.

On this day we did the walk beside the Niagara River. The different places give you the history behind how the falls were formed and pertinent facts.-how much water flows, how fast it flows, these rapids are a category 6, etc.

This is Table Rock-another welcome center and site facility.  We watched a movie on how the falls were formed. It included 3-d, motion,etc. experience. Once again they gave us ponchos for the experience. You should try to be on the front rows!

I wanted to show you-this is looking across the rapids and you can see where the falls go over. This is the corner of Horseshoe Falls. We were told the day before someone had committed suicide right there. They said usually about 50 suicides happen there a year. Of course in the histories they told of the various barrel rides and what not.

Here are more shots of our adventures on the Hornblower- the cruise up to the falls. To let you know we chose four adventures and it was $60 a person. We thought this was reasonable. If I haven't told you though the food is very expensive!

Here are pictures of Clifton Hills- the main street leading down to Niagara Falls Park, Canada. We were so surprised! It reminded us of a beefed up Myrtle Beach or Gatlinburg. The crowd on the streets were maybe all Indian, Pakistan, your guess is as good as mine. There were alto of Indian restaurants. I wonder if they have bought businesses in this area like they have in South Carolina. In South Carolina a large majority of the convenience stores are owned by Indian immigrants. However, in the daytime at the Niagara attractions the people were white but some were from Holland and Germany, etc.
