Trip down Highway 101, the coast highway traveling from Wstport, Washington state to Winchester Bay, Oregon.
The weather is great in both places. Windier in Winchester Bay. Very cool northWest wind coming in from the Pacific Ocean. The temperatures were high 60s. Wow for July weather. This week across the mountain range inland in Oregon it's supposed to be 107. We are wearing jackets and caps. The pictures of the people on the beaches shows everyone in jackets. It's the last week in July. The drive to Winchester Bay took about 61/2 hours around beautiful, tall evergreen trees through mountainous terrain. The beaches have white sand, where all of the dirt on the Washington coast was black dirt, even on the beaches. Westport is a fishing town in Grays Harbor. A huge harbor for fishing vessels or charter boats. Westport is a small town with a few restaurants, a small grocery store and a few gift shops. Lots of very small cottage type homes. RV lots put on anyone's extra property. Mostly people come on the weekends to fish.
Winchester Bay. RV Resort in Winchester Bay near Reedsport, Oregon. Oregon is probably. the prettiest state.
I definitely prefer the Pacific Northwest for the summer months. Who would believe this weather for July and August?
